New Report: Living with Autism in rural coastal communities

Researchers at University of Northampton have studied the experience of living with Autism in rural coastal communities in North Norfolk and Cornwall. Their initial report has just been published. The authors have sent me a copy as I took part in one of the seminars for this research project. I don’t think anyone will be surprised by the findings: a perceived decade-long decline in statutory support balanced by strong community support and the benefits of space and environment. The key challenge now is how to get the balance right so that anyone living with Autism has positive experiences wherever they live:
