Hedge planting scheme – important update
The County Council has announced some details of its tree and hedge planting scheme.
Last month I called on the council to set up a dedicated ‘Hedge Fund’ to help restore hedges across the county. They refused to do that but now they have announced how funding for their tree and hedge planting scheme will be divided up across Norfolk.
Each County Councillor will be allocated a part of the budget to spend on planting schemes in their area.
The size of the budget and the details of how the scheme will work will not be revealed until May. But if you know a place in Mundesley division that would benefit from having trees or hedgerows planted there, please do contact me now.
